Sir S.U. Akpan, Sen. Aloysius Etok Support Pastor Umo Eno For 2023 Guber Race

… Assure Aspirant of total support from Ikono
The Political Leader of Ikono Local Government Area, Sir Sunday Udo Akpan, as well as Senator Aloysius Etok have declared their unalloyed support for the governorship aspiration of Pastor Umo Eno.
The leaders made their position known during consultation visits to them at their country homes in Ikono.
In his remarks, Sir Akpan, a former Commissioner for Finance in the State said he has known Pastor Eno for many years and can attest to his character .

He expressed delight at the composition of the consultation team as well as the stakeholders behind Umo Eno’s project especially, Obong Victor Attah and His Eminence, Prelate Sunday Mbang among others.
Sir Akpan who is a former governorship aspirant under the defunct National Republican Convention, said Pastor Eno is simply an answered prayer, as the state has been praying for a home- based and home-grown governor.

According to him, “I am excited with this team. We have alwsyd prayed for a home based governor.
I want to thank God that this one is home grown and home- based. I want to say congratulations. You are the answered prayer.”
Sir Akpan who is also the pioneer Chairman of the Inter Ministerial Direct Labour Coordinating Committee, assured Pastor Eno of victory, praying that God would see him through the process.
On his own part, Senator Aloysius Etok thanked the team for coming to consult him despite his deep involvement in the project already, adding that Pastor Eno is a divine project.
He noted that he is one of the first three believers of the Umo Eno project, noting that the visit by the team was just to know his house as he was already a full believer in the cause.
He described the aspirant as a man with passion and capacity to build on the legacies of Governor Udom Emmanuel, especially in the area of peace, prosperity and security.
In his words, “if you don’t know the value of peace and security, ask me. I have no history of high blood pressure, but I developed HBP when my wife was kidnapped and she stayed in the kidnappers den for 12 days.”
“So Pastor Umo Eno, be rest assured, Ikono is with you. We will deliver you and shock the state at the number of votes that will be cast” he said.
Other stakeholders in the area including; the Commissioner for Health, Prof Augustine Umoh, State House Member, Hon. Asukwo Nanna, Barr Goddy Umoh, Council Chairman, Nnyakno Uwemedimo, Obongawan Lovina Umoefa, Engr Iboro Ekanem, Sir Victor Etefia, and others, said Ikono was the first to back Pastor Eno’s aspiration after his unveiling by Akwa Ibom stakeholders, and assured the consultation team of their support and massive mobilisation to ensure all round success of the project.
Earlier in his presentation, the frontline aspirant, Pastor Eno said he was in Ikono to pay homage to the elder statesmen and to seek for their blessing and support for his aspiration to serve the ttate as governor in 2023.

He maintained that Governor Udom Emmanuel has put in so much in the development of Akwa Ibom state which according to him must be sustained for the overall good of the citizens.
The seasoned businessman assured everyone that if elected into office, he would continue to pay due respect to the elders, and ensure the creation of the middle class which according to him, would stimulate and stabilise the economy.
Introducing the aspirant who is the current Commissioner of Lands and Water Resources, the Deputy Director of Campaigns, Akparawa Godwin Ntukudeh, International Chairman of Maintain Peace Movement (MPM) Barr Emmanuel Enoidem, and political leader of Uyo Senatorial District Senator, Senator Effiong Bob, said Pastor Eno is a credible aspirant with a laudable track record, and appealed to the hosts to mobilize their supporters in his favour.
