Forum of Local Government VC’s Endorses Pastor Umo Eno : 2023 Guber

Ahead of the 2023 Governorship election in Akwa Ibom State, the Forum of Local Government Vice Chairmen earlier today February 17, endorsed the aspiration of Pastor Umo Eno with a commitment to support him throughout the process.
In a motion moved by the Vice Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Hon (Mrs.) Mercy Bassey, and seconded by the Vice Chairman of Nsit Ubium, Hon. (Mrs) Ofonime Ntiense, the Forum unanimously endorsed the aspiration of Pastor Umo Eno and resolved to join forces with other stakeholders to ensure success.
In their separate remarks, Hon Uduak Umo of Oruk Anam Local Government Area who spoke on behalf of Vice Chairmen in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District stated that they had already resolved to support the completion and succession plan of Governor Udom Emmanuel, adding that the choice of Pastor Umo Eno has made it easier for them to make good their resolution.

Similarly, Hon. (Mrs.) Emem Ekpanya of Itu Local Government Area who spoke for the Vice Chairmen of Uyo Senatorial District, thanked God for the choice of Pastor Umo Eno whom she described as a good product for the State.
On his part, the Chairman of the Forum who doubles as the Vice Chairman of Onna LGA, Rt Hon Princewill Johnny, expressed satisfaction at the choice of Pastor Umo Eno describing him as a man of peace who deserves the support of everyone in the State.
In his presentation, the leading 2023 Governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Pastor Umo Eno, commended the Wife of the State Governor, Dr. Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel for championing the inclusion of women in political leadership which according to him, has made it possible for women to dominate the Forum.
He expressed delight at the composition of the Forum stressing that women would continue to play a sensitive role in the local government areas and even at the state government level.
Pastor Umo Eno emphasized that Government at the local level was quite critical adding that he would work in sync with them as well as their Chairmen to improve governance at the grassroots.

Earlier, the Deputy Director General of Campaigns, Prince Godwin Ntukudeh said the visit was to establish trust with the Vice Chairmen, stressing that Pastor Umo Eno is an epitome of peace and good conscience.
The Deputy DG said the State was in dire need of a technocrat who would further the industrialization agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel and the peace currently enjoyed in the State.
He described the aspirant as an enterprising personality who has through his Royalty Group of Companies employed many Akwa Ibom sons and daughters thus reducing the employment margin in the State.

Enoidem said MPM was standing on the strength of its earlier resolution to support whoever the Governor would present as his successor, and urged the Vice Chairmen to support Pastor Umo Eno for the overall good of the State.

Similarly, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Frank Archibong said Umo Eno is a man that understands respect with value for constituted authorities, adding that ordinarily, the endorsement by ALGON could have sufficed but Pastor Umo Eno insisted on meeting with the Vice Chairmen and urged them to reciprocate the gesture by supporting and canvassing support for Pastor Umo Eno to ensure success.
