The Governorship ambition of Pastor Umo Eno has received a boost from the stakeholders and statutory party delegates from Uyo Local Government Area as they canvassed increased support for his success at the polls.

At an enlarged meeting held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at the Shelter Afrique residence of the Political leader of Uyo and Secretary, Maintain Peace Movement, Otuekong (Prince) Enobong Uwah, the stakeholders and party delegates unanimously endorsed Pastor Eno as the preferred governorship candidate for the party in the forthcoming general elections.

They expressed unanimity that what Akwa Ibom needs is a leader who will consolidate the achievements of the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration in the areas of infrastructural development, healthcare, agriculture, job creation ICT advancement, etc.

Speakers who affirmed their support for the adoption of Pastor Umo Eno at the enlarged meeting include the Political Leader of Uyo, Prince Enobong Uwah, the member representing Uyo State Constituency, in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, AKHA, Rt. Hon. Anietie Eka, and Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Rt Hon. Monday Eyo.

Others are the Chairman, Uyo Local Government Council, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, the Commissioner for Environment and Solid Minerals, Sir Charles Udoh, and Commissioner for Power and Petroleum Development, Dr. John James Etim.

Goodwill messages were received from the Uyo Chapter Chairman of PDP, Mr. Enefiok Udofia, Obong Augustine Ikpe, Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing and Brand Management, Mr. Ime Uwah, Leader of Uyo Local Government Legislative Council, Hon. Ubong Effiong, Chairman, forum of former Chairmen, Chief Clement Ekott and a Commissioner in the House of Assembly Service Commission, Dr. Roberta Edem.

The enlarged meeting of Uyo had in attendance all 13 out of 14 Councillors of Uyo, all the Supervisory Councillors/Special Advisers serving and former political office holders, women, youth groups, statutory delegates from all the Wards and community leaders.
