AKHA 2023: Group Drums Support For Victor Tom

…says he’s the best for that seat

As 2023 general elections gather momentum, a socio-political support group in Esit Eket, Rescue Supporters Group, has drummed total support for one of the leading aspirants for Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Evangelist Victor Tom, describing him as a vibrant, creative and best for the seat who will be able to draw to the grassroots dividends of democracy.

The group, with more than 1000 members cutting across Esit Eket/Ibeno local government areas unanimously took the decision 13th February, 2022 in an enlarged meeting at their Secretariat, Esit Eket LGA.

Speaking with the press, the International Coordinator of the group, Comrade Ezekiel Etim said, they decided to support Evangelist Tom because, among all the aspirants in Esit Eket vying for the Statehouse of Assembly position, Tom is the most sellable, people’s oriented and creative aspirant and they are sure that if elected as a member, he will do what no MP has even done for the people of the constituency.

“We have been hungry for effective representation. People are not empowered, no job for the youths, no opportunity anywhere. Those we elected into power have failed us and none of them is capable of representing us and the people have lost faith in them.

“Victor Tom is a fresher in the field. He has the idea. He’s intelligent and smart and we are very sure that he will create opportunities for his constituents and sponsor bills that will have a direct positive effect on the people of the grassroots”, the coordinator opined.

Comrade Ezekiel also noted that, since the one they elected has failed the people, they are going unit by unit both in Esit Eket and Ibeno local government areas to root for support for him to make sure, he wins both in the primary and general election.

Meanwhile, Evangelist Victor Tom is an indigene of Urua Okok in Ward 9, Esit Eket LGA. He is a contractor and deals in oil and gas.
