2023: Akwa Ibom Youth Leadership Endorses Pastor Umo Eno

As the endorsement trend of Pastor Umo Eno continues across all strata of the State, the leading PDP gubernatorial aspirant has assured youths of Akwa Ibom State of a better deal if given the mandate to serve as their Governor come 2023.
According to the Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, if given the mandate, his administration will guarantee a brighter future for the teeming youths of the State.
Speaking during a consultative visit to the State’s Youth Leadership blocs comprising the Youth Caucus, Youth Council of Nigeria, the Dakkada Ambassadors, Christian Youth, Female Youth, the Entrepreneurial Youth, and Street Network on Friday, February 19, 2020, Pastor Eno said his vision is to provide a new lease of life for the youths, promising to chart a new course for their advancement through the provision of enabling environment, policies and programs, particularly in entrepreneurship, and SMEs.
“We want to create a future where our youth can compete favourably in the comity of other well-to-do youths in the nation”.
“Our administration will create a business hub for Akwa Ibom youths. We will send our youths to the best places to acquire skills-set and empower them to train more persons. We will invest in skills acquisition and skills transfer in our bid to make our youth self-reliant and employers of labour”.
“The Bible says, let no man abuse our youths. We should intentionally work to recreate our youthfulness into useful endeavours. My earnest desire is that Akwa Ibom youth have jobs to do. Most are qualified but they don’t have the wherewithal. What we need to do is to create enterprise.”
The Nsit Ubium born entrepreneur also promised to build for Akwa Ibom youths a Youth House, with full sporting and recreational facilities as well as an Entrepreneurial Center.
“We will build for you a YOUTH HOUSE with sporting facilities, recreational facilities including a training center. We will invest in training and building the capacity of the youth. Every youth should have money in the pocket”.

He charged the youths to develop themselves to have the needed edge for bigger deals, noting “we will train our youths to have the needed credentials to take up big jobs, not just cleaners and other menial jobs. We should work hard and enjoy well”.
Speaking while presenting the aspirant, the Campaign Director-General, Chief Asam Assam, SAN, described Pastor Eno as a ‘youth at heart’ adding “we are giving you somebody to sell at the grassroots.
On his part, the International President of Maintain Peace Movement, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, said that peace must be maintained in perpetuity in Akwa Ibom State and that Pastor Umo Eno is that symbol of peace.
“He has a future guarantee for the youth. Akwa Ibom needs to deepen its economy, and Umo will do just that. With Pastor Umo Eno on the saddle, more youths would occupy strategic positions like Commissioners and others in the State.”

Also speaking, Sen. Effiong Bob, reiterated his support and that of Nsit Ubium people to the Umo Eno’s course, saying, “I am standing here as a surety to Pastor Umo Eno. He will be a good Governor. He will make you proud and hand over to you a brighter future.”
Also, Otuekong Nsantim Kenneth Okon, emphasized the need for strategic engagement of the youths in politics and governance, urging them to fully participate in voter registration and sensitization while the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Monday Uko said he was satisfied with the emergence of Pastor Umo Eno as the preferred choice of the 2023 Governorship, noting with nostalgia that he started admiring him from the first time he made a presentation to the State Executive Council during one of their retreats, describing him as a very intelligent and interesting personality.
