2023 guber: Akwa Ibom First Lady presents Umo Eno’s wife to female political class

First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs Martha Emmanuel has presented Pastor (Mrs) Patience Eno, wife of the Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources to the female political class in the state as her would-be-successor.

TheMail Newspaper can report authoritatively that the presentation was done on Wednesday at Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo.

Recall that the governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel had on January 30th, 2022 endorsed Pastor Patience Eno’s husband, Pastor Umo Eno as his choice for the guber ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

TheMail Newspaper reports that there were speculations that the governor’s wife was not pleased with her hubby’s decision to go with the renowned hotelier as his would-be-successor.

Wednesday’s presentation of Pastor (Mrs) Patience Eno to the female political class by Mrs Emmanuel is expected to go a long way in quelling such rumours.

Ahead of the gubernatorial election, Mrs Martha Emmanuel urged those present at the meeting to give Umo Eno’s wife all the necessary support for her to succeed, stating that she will be an able successor as First Lady of the state.

Present at the meeting were female political appointees, female elected political office holders, wives of government appointees and those of elected officials.
