ARISE AGENDA: GOV. ENO FULFILLS HIS MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION

Two days to the Gubernatorial election on March 18, 2023, that see Pastor Umo Bassey Eno winning with a landslide votes, totalling 356,348, the Governor had earlier declared openly on March 16, 2023 that he is the one that is blessed with the ministry of reconciliation. During his inaugural speech at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on May 29, 2023, the Governor repeated the lines again, stating unequivocally that God sent him to reconcile Akwa Ibom State back to the path of peace.
Therefore, it was not a surprise to many, when the Governor declared to the admiration of the congregants during the Easter evening of Hymns on Monday, April 21, 2023, at the International Christian Worship Centre, Uyo, that he has fulfilled his mission. Rather, I am surprised that the Governor made it happen in just about two years of his administration. According to the Governor, “I have fulfilled the ministry of reconciliation that God laid in my heart for Akwa Ibom. Today, we have brought Akwa Ibomites from all walks of life under one roof”. The Governor declared.
The Governor expressed gratitude for the prevailing peace and harmony in the State, describing it as a reflection of divine intervention and the collective goodwill of the people.
He emphasized that his leadership is anchored on unity rather than political alignment, affirming his role as a leader for all Akwa Ibomites, irrespective of party affiliation.
“I am not leading PDP, I’m not leading APC, I am the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, not the Governor of any political party”. This point was well orchestrated for all to take note of. Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, is the Governor of Akwa Ibom State and the father of all Akwa Ibomites irrespective of political affiliations.
The Governor stated that the peace we are currently enjoying in Akwa Ibom State is greater than the interest of any political party. Stating further, he said “Never again shall we have a State function and it is just for a particular political party to attend”. The degree of unity existing in Akwa Ibom State at the moment is unimaginable to say the least. The members of the All Progressive Congress (APC), did not only attended the event, they also presented their Hymn, giving God praise for what He has done for the people of Akwa Ibom State. I’m sure when we finally get to heaven, this will be our experience, as there is no political party in heaven.
We are in a paradigm shift politically in Akwa Ibom State. Take it or leave it, it is what it is. Those that are following up the politics of Akwa Ibom State from 1999 will understand what is happening in Akwa Ibom State and appreciate it better. This has not always been the case. We are in an unusual government, championed by an unusual leader, for an unusual peace, progress and development of Akwa Ibom State. Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State choose to be misunderstood, provided there is peace in Akwa Ibom State, without which development is practically impossible.
In the book of Habakkuk 2:2 the Bible says “Write the vision and make it plain upon the tablets, that he may run that readeth it”. I am happy to be among the living to witness the restoration of peace in Akwa Ibom State, made possible by the man of peace, blessed with the ministry of reconciliation, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
Arise, that same God.
