Eket Local Government Chairman Akaniyene Tommey Charges Parents To Always Show Good Example And Exhibit Good Conduct At All Time

Yesterday, just like every other working day, I received in audience two very outstanding daughters of Eket Local Government, Matilda Wills and Inimfon Ndedde. While Matilda astonished us with a record making of 380 out of 400 points in her post UTME, Inimfon came to inform me of her event tagged Kommon Sense Conference for Alpha Teenagers.

Away from the entire conversations that ensued, what struck me the most was the fact that while we as leaders have been battling with the menace of vices amongst our youths, there are actually a certain cluster we are not paying much attention to, yet are quietly making great impacts in their generation; communicating with their world and striving to change the narratives.

These feat is not only a thing of great pride to us in Eket Local Government, but it has also reaffirmed the fact that when our passion is right, nothing is impossible.

To parents out there, I charge all of you to always show good example and exhibit conducts capable of portraying you as a beacon of hope to the future generation as you continue to encourage them to grow in the right path.

My prayer is that may the good seeds of love we sow sprout in the hearts of all so that its blossom will be felt world over.
