A COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF THE JOINT MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE AND LEGISLATIVE ARMS OF NSIT UBIUM LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL, ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2022 AT THE COUNCIL SECRETARIAT, IKOT EDIBON, NSIT UBIUM L.G.A

The Executive and Legislative Council of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area at a special joint meeting held on Monday, February 7, 2022 with all the members of both arms of the Local Government in attendance was presided over by The Executive Chairman, Arc. Iniobong Orok.

Where the Council expressed their appreciation to His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State for his excellent strides in the development of various sectors of the economy, the maintenance of peace and security and pledged their total support and loyalty to His Excellency’s completion agenda and succession plan for Akwa Ibom State, including the choice of a great son of Nsit Ubium in the person of Pastor Umo Eno, The Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources as his preferred Successor.

Members of the Executive and Legislative arms of the Local Government Council expressed their joy for the wonderful New Year gift of Pastor Umo Eno to Nsit Ubium by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

In furtherance of the agenda of His Excellency and the continuation of the programmes for the sustained peace and ongoing economic transformation of the state, a motion was moved by the Leader of the Nsit Ubium Legislative Council, Hon. Inyang Sunday and duly seconded by the Vice Chairman, Hon. (Mrs) Ofonime Ntiense to appreciate His Excellency, The Governor for his good works and benevolence and to inform Him of our complete acceptance and adoption of his choice of an Nsit Ubium Son, Pastor Umo Eno as his preferred Candidate for the forthcoming gubernatorial elections come 2023 in Akwa Ibom State.

The motion was duly moved and unanimously supported and adopted by all, and a six (6) point Communique issued and signed thereafter by the 23 members of both the Executive and Legislative Arms of the Council The resolutions of the Communique are listed bellow.

1. That the people of Nsit Ubium are grateful to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Mr Udom Emmanuel, for finding Pastor Umo Eno a worthy Successor to continue the development of Akwa Ibom State

2. That the entire Executive and Legislative Council have resolved to give Pastor Umo Eno our total and unalloyed support for the success of his political aspiration.

3. That we as Members Nsit Ubium Council collectively accept the position and direction of His Excellency and support the full and total adoption of Pastor Umo Eno as the Gubernatorial Candidate of our great party The PDP.

4. That the Executive and Legislative Council of Nsit Ubium are desirous and determined to work in synergy for the continued maintenance of the existing peace ,stability, development and good governance in Akwa Ibom State.

5. That we hereby resolve to deploy all available resources to embark on a relentless effort of maintaining peace in Nsit Ubium and Akwa Ibom State at large.

6. The Council also resolved in the meeting to pay a solidarity visit to Pastor Umo Eno.

Finally, we the members of the Executive and Legislative arms of Nsit Ubium Local Government Council individually and collectively append our signatures as an evidence of our agreement to the resolutions contained in this Communique confirming our unanimous acceptance and unequivocal support of Pastor Umo Bassey Eno as the governorship candidate to be voted into office, come 2023.Signed by the Underlisted
